rjR
The noise may be from a vibration on your stand/bench/table--check that out! If the noise is in the saw-- I think Larry is right! Take it back and have them at least check it out for you--otherwise the day after the warranty has expired; so will the saw! I have found funny noises that were just something on the other side of the table being vibrated by the machine! So do look for that sort of thing too. Even hanging on a close wall and being vibrated a tiny bit can make a noise! Also make sure you are not running on a long light gauge extension cord-- I thought that I heard speed variations! Good Luck-- As we are SNOOPY--Please let us know what you find! We also want to see some of the work that saw can do! Phantom Scroller
Michael firstly Welcome and I have used a couple of cheaper version saws and they all make more noise on full speed and as everyone has said it's vibration if there's some screws to take the side panel off you will probably see what it's hitting, unless it's the stand it's jumping on. ike
It sounds like it is vibrating any saw that the whole upper arm moves there is more vibration than the other kind.. The Proxxon is supposed to be a silent running saw. so i would take it back to the dealer and see what they say. My mMy Dw 788 makes a little noise but it is in the table. On the work bench it is a lot quieter.
