Firedkm
This morning I decided to put up a Facebook page for Dales' Puzzles. It was very easy to implement. I just added some info about what we do and put some pictures up too. In less than a day I all ready have over 20 fans! I even got some sales out of this too. My sales are over $100.00 so far plus I am doing some bartering with an old friend. I have not seen him in over twenty years. He is a into Graphic design. So I am getting some art work done and he is getting a couple of puzzles I would have to say not to bad in less than day for FREE advertising. I think the one thing that has helped is how many "friends" I have. I had sent an invitation to almost 300 people!
Travis
That's a great idea. If you're already on Facebook and have a nice network of old friends and acquaintances, you could easily get some sales. Its the modern version of bringing your cuttings to work and leaving a signup sheet in the lunch room to generate sales. I know I've had one of my friends contact me to do some custom work for her just because she saw a couple of pieces I bragged about in my feed. Christina
It is a great idea. The social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter are the new ways of business networking and seem to be quite effective from what I've read on AOL. It seems more and more businesses, not just crafting businesses, are using this kind of networking. Congrats and I hope you have great continueing success! Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I'm sure it will help lots of people. Christina
Pixman
Nothing wrong with a bit of bartering. I recently did a photos for chair deal at a camping equipment expo. Magic
