OCtoolguy
I'm curious about something. How many of you folks finish one project before starting another. This goes along with my question about keeping track of slightly used blades. Ray

Larry A. Blakely
I'm usually a one-at-a-time scroller although my last two projects were worked on at the same time. OCtoolguy and wombatie
ike
I useally finish one project at a time if I don't I may never finish the first one. Scrolling Steve
amazingkevin
If it's names im doing il;l do them all , detail them all, sand them all and then glue them all.and make stand for them all.Intarsia's i can get quite complicated as i'l have many in the mix going at the same time. layed out on tv trays .That way i can stack them and work on what interests me more to finish.Fretwork i'll start and finish .Works for me! bandaideman
I consider myself a hyperactive scroller. I will have 3-5 projects at any one time either scrolling or truning or something and will have requests that I will do and finisht with a dead line. I seem to work on something and if I get struck or in trouble then I can do something else to get my mind off the trouble then return and it works out better. It may be crazy but it works for me. LarryEA
I have two saws... but I usually have more than four going at a time. Each probably in a different stage.

btree50
I always have a few going. Sometimes I need a break from one, so I go to another.

OCtoolguy
Thanks everybody, that's pretty much me too. I can't wrap my head around too many things at once. But, right now, I'm getting back into my woodcarving so I am going to go out to the shop and rough out a carving of a caricature buzzard that I have been wanting to try to carve. I cut the basic block on my band saw and I'll cut the outline on the scrollsaw. It should work out great. Now, I can scroll saw outside in my shop and carve inside in my office. dgman
As a general rule I'll do one project at a time, but I may not apply the finish until I have several projects. Then I'll finish four or five at a time. If I have a special order or request then I may have two project going at one time. GrampaJim
I like to have about three different things going at one time. Maybe it a result of short attention span. Jim Scrolling Steve

don in brooklin on
I am a little ADHD - Just looked around my shop and I have a cheese board being finished, an intarsia piece being shaped, an intarsia piece half cut out, a wig stand 1/2 turned, and a end grain cutting board being clamped up. Some of those have been there for a little while. Since I am retired I am in not hurry and my only deadline is when ever I feel like finishing it. YOLO. DWSUDEKUM
Ray I generally have many different projects going on at any one time so I seldom do one to completion before starting a new one. DW
Multifasited
All depends on the interest level of the project ,and how well it's going ,along with the interuptsions encountered ,normally I try to at least get the cutting all done ,shaping and finishing may wait ,If something else catches my fancy ! courdorygirl
Like most of you, one at a time for me. I do the stuff that is commissioned first, then work on products for craft shows/conventions, and devote one day (usually Friday, but I'm home sick with a terrible cough today), to doing gifts and personal items. OCtoolguy
Ok, here is what I am working on today. I have been carving on it for a couple of hours. My hand feels like I haven't held a knife in a while. But, it's coming along. I'm not sure why my pics always seem to come out on the side but you get the idea. courdorygirl
Are you taking your pictures with a smart phone? If I turn my phone sideways, when I upload the pictures to the computer they are sideways like that. I have to open them in photoshop, rotate them, then resave them. WayneMahler
I just finished up 4 tonight. SO that brings active projects down to about 4 left to complete. I will start and finish a project if itis a custom order and rather large. But my normal is between 5 and 9 running at a time.
wombatie
One at a time for cutting but I may have a couple with different types of finishing happening at once. Marg
OCtoolguy
Cordorygirl, I took the pics with my Nikon but I was holding it sideways. I guess that would explain it. I'll have to start doing it your way. I was in a hurry. Sorry for making everybody twist their heads around. Better next time.
