Sapele and Pine Spiral Basket

Cut from a glue up of alternating sapele and pine.  The basket is 8 inches in diameter by 7 inches tall. The basket was sealed with tung oil then wipe on polyurethane.

The pattern came from a guy in Romania here is a link to his site.  The pattern is free - http://www.traforaj.ro By varying the thickness of the wood you can get everything from a pie pan to the basket that I made all from that one pattern.
