I have some ( a lot ) of 3/4" poplar with some beautiful grain patterns and coloring that I bought to re-frame a door. I started looking at it and decided to go buy a nice piece of pine instead.

I am running out of blades and had to use a 2/0 in 3/4" poplar. 

Slow cutting but, less sanding.
