Clayton717
Here is the first of three John Wayne pictures I am doing to enter into our county fair. I will post them as I get them done. Once I have all three completed I plan on making 1 large frame to hold all three. They are all cut from 1/8" Baltic birch. this one was cut with a FD 3R blade. The pattern is by Charles Dearing.(as well as the two others). The cutting size is 10 x 13. I still need to spray a coat of finish on it. lawson56, Kris Martinson, Paul hd and 3 others

Kris Martinson
Outstanding portrait of my favorite actor. You did a great job with this one. Can't wait to see the others. Did you woodburn "Whiskey" on the bottle? I have often considered using that technique to add detail which is too small to cut. edward
Very nice Clayton, and nice pattern also, can't believe you cut it with a 3R, I find there to aggressive, thats why I use FD2/0, which has more tpi, guess everyone has there own way. edward Clayton717
penquin
That is a great likeness of the Duke and your cut looks great. Can't go wrong with a pattern from Charles. Just slowed the speed down a bit. I still hate using spirals. I get a much cleaner cut without them.
