ROOKIE
OUR COUNTY PARK OPERATES AN 1860'S VILLAGE AND WITHIN THAT WE HAVE WHAT WE CALL A TOY BARN WHERE WE MAKE TOYS YOU MIGHT HAVE FOUND BEING MADE IN 1860. WE MAKE EVERYTHING WITH A PEDAL POWERED VELOCIPEDE WHICH DOES REMARKABLE QUALITY. HOWEVER, THE BELT THAT DRIVES THE SAW IS VERY WORN AND ABOUT TO BREAK. WE ARE IN NEED OF A SOURCE FOR ONE TO STAY IN BUSINESS. IT IS CALLED A VELOCIPEDE #2. THE MACHINE IS A REPRODUCTION AND WAS ORIGINALLY SUPPLIED BY " THE TOOL COMPANY" OF RAYMORE, MO. WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO CONTACT THEM. ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. OCtoolguy

Dan
I'm not positive but were the original belts leather? If so, check a local leather goods store. If I'm way off base here, just disregard my comment. OCtoolguy
amazingkevin
Union Hill Antique Tools - Barnes # 2 Velocipede ... it takes a round belt, i did hear that a ladys stocking in an emergence will work as a fan belt on a car . kywoodmaster
I agree with Dan. A local leather smith should be able to fab that for you. OCtoolguy

MrTeckEd
I'm looking too, is it a round or V belt? If a round belt would work there are places that still produce them for treadle sewing machines. I'll check back with that site a friend uses in a day or two. OCtoolguy
You'd be surprised at how many places without electricity still use treadle sewing machines etc so finding a belt should not a be a problem. Have you tried just doing a google/bing search?
