Hello from Ireland

Just a quick hello from Balbriggan, which is near near Dublin.

Started scrolling 3 years ago after seeing Steve Good's site. Could not believe how much fun can be had at this hobby. I have started delving into using driftwood, pallets, vinyl records, on top of  wood of all types. I have two low end scroll saws and I hope to have purchased an Excalibur in a few weeks time to replace them.

Been lurking here for a while and eventually decided that you lot aren't that bad so HELLO there

Hi Bob and welcome. Glad you came in out of the shadows.

Sounds like you are on top of things. So I have one question,

'Did you learn anything while you were lurking?' :D

How about some pictures, your shop, your dog, an empty bottle of Guinness and some scroll work.

A big WELCOME from me Bob. I hope you have some great Irish patterns to cut and we'll see some fantastic crafts in Ireland available to you. There's plenty on here to choose from I promise not to do Irish jokes just ask Rob from Scotland  .

Great to have you on board. Roly

Don't you start your nonsense Roly, you leave our fine Irish friend alone. And no " an Irishman and a Scotsman and an English man" jokes.

A big Scottish WELCOME Bob. I'm Roy, just a wee swim across the water from you. Don't take any heed of Roly, he's just an old pussycat. A nice tidy workshop and some very nice cutting into the bargain. if you need any help just ask and our experts will inundate you with answers, ( some of the answers might turn out to be sensible),some not so.. Have look in the pattern library, you'll find loads of stuff in there and if you need something special just ask and one of our many wonderful pattern makers will have you sorted out in jig time. So again WELCOME Bob, come on in and ENJOY yourself.

Rob Roy.

You must have dust angels that keep you shop clean. All I need to do is step foot in my shop and sneeze and the whole place instantly fills itself with a layer of sawdust. seriously, I send you a big welcome from Eastern Oregon... look it up on the USA map and you might be able to locate our state. Lots of adventures take place here almost daily and now that you are in the loop, there is only one thing you have to keep in mind. that being, log on often and write some comments to other members posts and keep posting your self and you will feel right at home in no time

They mostly summed it up!

A Hello BACK--- We really are that bad; we just hide it well!

I am west of heppnerguy about 150 or so miles. at ALOHA OR! about 40 miles from (if you go straight) the Pacific Ocean.

Good beer is to be enjoyed not saved! Guinnes---!!!!

I really like seeing that you are making you won patterns; the real way. I have made a toy and then made the templates for more

No dumb questions--sometimes dumb answers though! But by the end the real answer is always in the mix too.
