The Mrs. and I just pent 10 days visiting our son and grand children and was wondering if anyone had opinions of moving there, I learned the south side of the city is the place to be. Convienient to everything and the people seem nice. Any thoughts and input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Kebvin. Justy spent 10 days there and loved it. Seriously thing about moving there for health reasons for the wife. Definately doing the heavy research

I've visited there, about 20 years ago.  From what I remember I was thinking if I lived there I would have to have a sail boat.  My son  and is wife got their sailing certificates while he was stationed around there somewhere.  That's not much help to you though.

That is a really nice area as long as you aren't afraid of hurricanes.  Used to spend some time as Aransas Pass as was a great area for a weekend getaway.

Wayne if the main cause is for your wife's health concerns and you both seem to like it there, I wouldn't hesitate to make the move. Putting her first is your most important job and making a move for her is not even something to give a second thought to. Start packing those bags,,,,,,,,it. Is time to move

It seems like a nice area -- that is, at least what I've seen of it from the Fox reality television series Cops. It seems a lot of segments on that show are filmed there for some reason.

Been 40+ years since I have been there and the memories are fuzzy (come to think of it all memories from that time period are fuzzy).  Best I recall it was a beautiful place and very friendly folks.
