Gordster Posted July 6, 2015 Report Posted July 6, 2015 I just answered a post here with the lettrrs WTG. Way to go. A little while back, I made a word stand with the letters .??? I watched a little girl approaching my table and I read her lips as she put words to the letters. She said to me I know what that means and I said yes and so do I, it means welcome to Facebook. These were not the words she mouthed.. When I got home that night I burned it in the wood stove.. WayneMahler, bobscroll, New Guy and 6 others 9 Quote

Fish Posted July 7, 2015 Report Posted July 7, 2015 Sad. I asked my daughters and they just looked at me with a funny face. Gordster 1 Quote
WayneMahler Posted July 7, 2015 Report Posted July 7, 2015 At 7 I would not have had any idea what this meant. Scares me to think about the younger kids growing up today. I can rememeber many conversations with my Dad ( RIP ) when he stated " I'm glad I'm not rasing kids today. I have no idea how you do it." Now I go through that with my son and daughter. SUch a sad society anymore. End of RANT! Gordster 1 Quote

kywoodmaster Posted July 7, 2015 Report Posted July 7, 2015 I have 9 grand children ages 11-2 7 girls 2 boys.. I am still shocked at some of the things that they come up with at that age. I just shake my head and wonder what happened to being a child. Quote

kywoodmaster Posted July 7, 2015 Report Posted July 7, 2015 Children aren't children any more they are mini grown ups. So very very sad. Marg So very true. We have a rule at our house when the kids come. They cant bring their technology, we have a computer if they have homework, we do not have TV, we do have some family friendly movies and cartoons on DVD. When they are at our house they must be kids. Run, Play, explore and have fun the old fashion way. Some of the girls are starting to show interest in sewing so we are buying up cheap sewing machines so they can all sit at the same time and learn. I am afraid they are are all a little young to start in woodworking yet. We have hopes that they will remember the simple times at MaMaw and Paps house. Honeycow and Doug 2 Quote

Our grandchildren love to play games (board games) when they come here, so we all sit and play together. Marg Quote
