rdatelle Posted July 6, 2015 Report Posted July 6, 2015 Here's a little something I just finished for my Granddaughter. She got a new kitten for her birthday and saw this picture online and asked me if I could make this for her. I told her I didn't know because it looked kinda hard with all the detail in it. I told her I would think about it. Well being the loving Grand father I am, I gave it a try. What do you think. Will she like it when she seees it. I hope so. It's 1/4 inch BB. I used a #3 reverse on it, It's 8x10. bobscroll, Lucky2, Scrolling Steve and 3 others 6 Quote

rdatelle Posted July 7, 2015 Author Report Posted July 7, 2015 Thanks everyone. I almost wasn't going to do it because I didn't think I could do all that fancy cutting of the hair but I gave it a try and took my time. Now I have to find a pattern for a baby cradle for her dolls. Steve has one but it's to small. I need something for a 12 inch doll. Any ideas. Quote
bobscroll Posted July 7, 2015 Report Posted July 7, 2015 Really nice scrolling Ralph, And of course She will love It! Thank you for showing, Bob P.S. could you re-size the smaller pattern for Her doll's cradle? Quote
rdatelle Posted July 7, 2015 Author Report Posted July 7, 2015 Zen I wish I could. Not sure how to do that. It has a lot of scroll work on it and If I try to make it bigger it doesn't look right. Quote

If you need some help doing it, let me know and I think I can help you with it A purrfect job on your kitten..It looks to me like you can cut about anything you try... i love it when we test our skills and find that we are able to do more than we thought we could. rdatelle Posted July 7, 2015 Author Report Posted July 7, 2015 Thanks again everyone. Sometimes I amase myself. LOL. Quote
rdatelle Posted July 7, 2015 Author Report Posted July 7, 2015 (edited) Dick, I don't have inkscape. It's a pattern from Steve good. It's a 6 inch cradle but I want at least 12 inch. Maybe I can put a link to it on here and you can see it. Here's a link to the one I was looking at. http://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/2009/11/small-doll-cradle-scroll-saw-pattern.html?m=1 Edited July 7, 2015 by rdatelle Quote
koehler788 Posted July 8, 2015 Report Posted July 8, 2015 Ralph, it is close to photo-realistic. nice job Quote
kywoodmaster Posted July 8, 2015 Report Posted July 8, 2015 Very nice. Great looking pattern. She should love it. It is amazing how that kids take to specially made items. We made name plates for all the grandkids last Christmas, They were a lot more excited over those than the purchased gifts. Quote
