amazingkevin
i actually cleaned my outside shop! I have plywood floors over dirt three layers. One side of the canopy has a 9 ' shelf with all colors of spray paints in 5 gallon buckets on there sides and on top of each other, under another shelf 9' long is three big garbage cans full of raw cedar ready for planing. In front of that is my rolling table with drill press, band saw,and disc-belt sander.Outside the canopy is a giant air tank which came with no compressor as requested which i put a ice machine 110 volt silent compressor on and it works good!I have two fans exhausting dust from the scroll saw directly out of the tent canopy.Three more fans are inside the canopy directed to the two exhaust fans. It's really hot out there but I'm dry. This is whats organized right now. There's double that to do yet.The two years I've been here I've never been able to just walk out to the scroll saw and sit down and scroll .What a feeling not to struggle.I guess I've been sick that long.Things are looking up now !I'll post pictures as soon as i get the data cable .Man do i have the wood ! :) Edited July 13, 2015 by amazingkevin oneleggimp, wombatie, WayneMahler and 4 others

oldhudson
Good job Kevin. I think it's good, for everyone, to clean/organize the shop every so often. Keeping my shop clean isn't too hard I try to run the shop vac at the end of each day so I'm not tracking sawdust through the house. Keeping stock organized is much harder. amazingkevin

heppnerguy
Wow, Kevin. you actually found a floor down there? I am trying to remember if I too have a floor in my shop.. Need to go back in time and see if I have a photo of my shop before I started scrolling and see if I can find out if I even have a floor. I hate the old man that sneaks into my shop at night and hides all of my tools and patterns and wood and................well I guess I could get something done in there if it was clean and organized. I had better get busy and do the same thing you did before Hans and Paul come to my house is a couple of weeks..If only I knew someone that needed sawdust. I would give it to them for free. all they would need to do is back up to my shop porch and grab a shovel and haul it off. DWSUDEKUM
You know that a sure sign of mental illness is a totally clean shop. It seems that the cleaner it is the more disturbed the person is Actually this is true because instead of scrolling they are cleaning.<shiver> Sometimes a slight case of mental illness is a good thing though. One would hate to trip an hurt oneself so badly that they could not scroll so cleaning the shop in this case is a good thing.
