New Guy
I just ran across this and was wondering if anyone was going to attend? I was thinking of maybe attending for one day. oldhudson
It's within driving distance for me but I don't find woodworking shows very useful. I'm a little ADD so I get pulled in different directions all the time, you want to see everything but you don't have the time, you see equipment/supplies but you can't afford them, you're on your feet all day - and generally both parking and the food suck. Plus if you are from out of town it's not cheap. On the other hand, you get to see equipment in operation and you can talk to and ask questions of pros and maybe get a class or two in that you can take home some real learning. Still if you have never been to one it might be worthwhile. Just my 2¢

Jim Finn
There was a "Texas Scroll saw Picnic" a few years ago in Denton Texas that I attended and presented a one hour program on making simple toys for toddlers to a room of about thirty people. It was a good time for me. Set up a booth and sold some of my stuff too. This is the show where I first saw some inlay work done using a scroll saw. Inspired me to try it. Now, I would be open to presenting a seminar on double bevel inlay, someday, if there is ever another opportunity in Texas.
vykus
I am hoping to go, I have a friend in Dubuque that I can stay with, I used to work there when I was in College just across the border in Platteville WI. It will be my first show.
