kkrunde
Today is my first day back to scroll sawing and I have decided to make a gnome. My family and I go hiking, as often as our schedules and Hubby's health allows, and I often find really neat places in the woods, where I imagine gnomes could live. I have, for a long time now, wanted a gnome to carry with me and position in these places and take pictures. Today I found a really really cool heart shaped decay spot in a fallen tree... I mentioned again how I wish I had a gnome and my Hubby said "well get one".... so I did something else.... I made one I'm not an artist, so it took many tries to create the pattern I had in my head. He is all cut out and ready to be painted. Just waiting for my younger daughter to share her paint (she is rocking my grandson to sleep at the moment). In the meantime, here are some progress pictures Thanks for letting me share! Done giving him his clothes, face, and hair I think he turned out pretty good. Now he just needs a name. Update 7/29 Rowan is just 5" tall Got some pictures of him today where it seems a gnome might live Edited July 29, 2015 by kkrunde oneleggimp, oldhudson, Travis and 1 other

MetalScroll
Do you have to walk slowly so he can keep up? kkrunde
kkrunde
Metalscroll...... he is pretty lazy for a hiker and insists on being carried. I carried him for a while and then I had my 4 year old buddy carry him, but he kept dropping him and Rowan wasn't pleased
