Yes, too bad the pyrography and woodcarving forums are still having issues - pyrography site ( Will not accept my password and the password reset never sends the reset email)  - woodcarving (lets me log in, but when I try to view a picture, it says i'm banned) - I have emailed them several times, and have not gotten a reply, guess I won't be renewing my subscriptions to ANY of the Fox Chapel Publishing magazines.  It's really a shame, in a time when publishers are losing subscribers left and right, that they don't have the time to respond to their customers.

Steven, why do you have to be so negative? They have been working hard to get the new forums on line. I'm sure they have had hundreds of emails and tough to reply to all of them. We need to be patient, not adversarial.

While the site is up they have a long way too go to get the kinks outs.  I used to work in IT and problems are handled in triage fashion.  That is the most serious or issues impacted the most users are addressed first. Give them to the end of the month.  Steven if you give up too soon you only hurt yourself.

When you go to post a new topic or do a reply, there is a little icon above the box where you type you message.  The icon is on the right side, suppose to look like a sheet of paper with a paperclip at the top.  To me it looks like a box with a fishhook hanging down.  Click it and then click on upload attachment.  Find the picture you want to attach, upload it and you should be good to go.  It even lets you pick a size you want the attachment to show.

Things are getting better.  Although different, I find the posting of pics on the SSWC forum is very easy.  I just upload from my computer and select a thumbnail size.  Granted it is different but just a change and when familiar, it becomes the old new way of doing things and people will not want to change.

Creating the forum is a ton of work and takes time.

To post a pic, click on the paper clip in the upper right corner of the reply box you are typing in.  Look closely, it's small.  When the box pops up, select Upload or URL if using a hosting site.  I just upload already resized pics from my computer.  If upload, select the pic, click on open and VOILA!  Eezy Peezy.  Select thumbnail size and you're done.  Do a preview to see if it's what you want and post or redo.  There is a post on that forum by Shawn that is much better than my explanation   If I can do it, no one should have a problem with it.

I have been trying to upload photos there for two months now with zero success.  Sad.

I've been able to upload photos.  There is a tutorial on the site that explains the new procedure.  Frankly I think it is easier.  Photos are uploaded directly from my computer and are displayed in the post, not just with another link to click.

Yea, I've been able to upload too. I upload from my computer and actually prefer that to having to upload the picture elsewhere and then link to it. Like Southern Scroller mentioned, there is a tutorial on the site to follow. What kind of error are you getting?

I have followed instructions.  I get an "invalid file" notice every time. Something I am doing is wrong but I do not know what it could be..

Just wondering, did you resize your pics? They can't be bigger than 2mb. Do you use the attachment or embed option?

`I tried to insert photos from my own computer files and were very small . Avatar size.

Look under the reply box after uploading and you should see a selection for size of thumbnail.  Small, Medium, Large, Full size.  Did you click on the avatar size picture after posting?  It might open to original size.  Mine has worked that way.  I generally choose large or medium thumbnail to avoid having to click to enlarge.
