Scrolling Steve
I will try all the patterns before i am finished.....This is also cut from 1 inch red oak...cut with FDUR# 5 blades...finished with mineral oil......I am learning a lot cutting this thick oak...most of my projects in the past are cut from 1/4 BB plywood, so this is quite different.......Thanks for looking! pattern by R. Kepy
Very well done with nice crisp corners. I have found that planing to 5/8" makes it a lot easier to cut. Scrolling Steve
GrampaJim
Well done! Oak is different until you get used to it. The appearance is in color and gain is just too nice not to use. I do almost everything in oak now. About the only BB I use anymore is for backer boards. Jim Scrolling Steve
DWSUDEKUM
Very nicely done Steve. If that were sized right and a thinner wood used one could use it as a register vent cover for a wall vent cover as well. Great job on that. Thanks for sharing this with us.
