crupiea
I have not replaced mine but do recall people saying that they can clog up with saw dust and it will cause this to happen. They said they took it apart and cleaned it out and that fixed it. Again, never tried myself but worth a shot. Used to happen on my old delta. Bpardue
I have never had to - I covered the rocker switch area with a plastic snack bag and control the saw with a foot switch. WigWag Workshop and Jim Finn
NC Scroller
After blowing the switch out with an air compressor or can of compressed air turn the saw switch to on and install a dead man type foot switch. Problem solved. It will take you all of about 15 minutes to get used to it and you will kick your self for not doing it sooner. I use one made by MLCS and it runs about $23 on Amazon but if you have a Harbor Freight near you they make a cheaper one.

ike
I agree with the foot peddle, for a stroller it is the greatest thing since the wheel WigWag Workshop
amazingkevin
A simple make ,break connection for a cheap foot switch is all you need to get going. What ever works works. That's how i've been doing it. GrampaJim
Kepy
I held off for a long time as I can't sit with my feet on the floor but finally broke down and bought the HF switch with a 20% off coupon and mounted it on the side of saw stand. Now it is a knee switch and works great.
amazingkevin
Oh i remember drilling holes in my switch before i got a foot switch set up so the dust wouldn't get impacted in the switch. :)
Southern Scroller
I use a foot switch but sometimes turn off the machine rocker switch. It failed after a lot of years but I cleaned it and it has worked fine ever since. At first I just rocked it back and forth and it worked but after a couple of times decided to clean it. Works as it should ever since. Sturdy machine IMHO.
