Falcon Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 Did this for my brother. Was an absolute challenge because my wood was bowed a little. Learning curve..to keep vibration down on cat tails used another piece of scrap just behind blade when cutting helped a lot. My brother love's it. Kevin Latimer, LarB, bobscroll and 3 others 6 Quote
Kepy Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 It is easier to cut pieces like this if you stack at least 2 as it makes it more stable and you also get an extra for the same price. You can also tape an old business card over the hole in the table to help support the piece as you cut. You did an excellent job. Falcon 1 Quote

amazingkevin Posted August 20, 2015 Report Posted August 20, 2015 all of my wood is free and i just dreaded the curved pieces found lieing straddled over other things to warp it.I'm getting in the mode to stack cut thin things now too ! it slows down the cutting speed and prevents accidents.Beautiful workmanship! Keep them coming.I enjoy your aspiring talent! ;) Quote
kywoodmaster Posted August 20, 2015 Report Posted August 20, 2015 Very nice. A cuped board can give fits. If you have the room a Jointer is a great investment. Quote
