The last two weeks

I have been playing in the garage on my band saw and scroll saw. The three signs in Oak  are patterns from Bob-thank you.  The last one is from a pattern I did awhile ago, the Mrs. says I'm full of it-

The band saw boxes are Cedar, and Pine from Colorado and worm eaten Ash. My niece got the pine for me it was from a tree killed by an insect that turned it green. I don't remember what insect.

Well well well, these stand up boxes are really growing on me .You got to be a real cracker jack to make these and have them turn heads when seen.Your scrolling skills are killer CNC grade quality,maybe better!I'll bet the little woman's really proud of her man knocking out beautiful projects every time like these.I would imagine she get's first pick .Keep them coming friend ;)

She likes them all but said I need more shelves in the garage. My daughters will get the band saw boxes. I'm getting hooked on making those but they take a lot of sanding. ( I'm working on getting a spindle sander )

Dan excellent work.  The box that was made out of the wood that the insect killed looks like what is called blue pine.  Insects burrow under the bark and bring a fungal infection, this is what causes the color change and the tree then tries to isolate the damage but in the process kills itself a lot of times.  Great work on those cuttings, boxes and signs.  Thanks for sharing these with us.

Thanks. I just talked to my brother he's bringing me some more wood and is getting into boxes now also. It will be interesting to see what he comes up with.
