Good morning, I come to you from Southern MN. I bought a NIB craftsman scroll saw from Craigslist and I am looking forward to making anything!

Great to have you here. An 18 " craftsman i had to modify by cutting lots of metal out of the way so i could get my hand in it to loosen the bottom blade! Start  out by making things that you like ,that will keep you interested in the hobby to start and then for your friends make little thing ,key-chains ,puzzles etc Remember to have fun your friends will be amazed at what you will be turning out, thanks for joining!Keep coming back! :):D :D ;) ;)

Ron,

I am glad you found us and logged on. take a good look around and start with ome rather simple patterns for awhile, otherwise you could get discouraged rather easily. enjoy the tutorials that are here as well. and as others have said, ask questions if you don't understand something or are just curious. We are a helpful and friendly bunch of people here and love to share our knowledge when we can. Log on often.

Here are a few pics of what I have done so far. I actually tried the scroll saw today, I cut out the square hole for my safety glasses on my pencil holder deal. Another pic is just to show how I store my saw, I'm pretty proud of that system (thank you Pinterest). Lastly, I don't know what it is called, but I made a table for the arm of a chair today with some scrap. A productive Labor Day!
