I used it hold fabric to a picture frame I made. Here's a couple of pics, an overall and a detail. I found it pretty easy to work with.

I've used it on puzzles, but, I don't know if it would be any good around scrollwork. What are you planning to do with it?

I use mod podge all the time! Have several different finishes. Whenever I'm in question of whether or not to use on certain objects, I refer to this chart. It really helps. But yes, I use the high gloss on wood and it looks AMAZING! https://www.plaidonline.com/eduPDF/FormulaGuide_web.pdf

I used it and works great. I did a prodget with it 5 years ago and still looks good and holds up well..  edward

Many have used it on jigsaw puzzle pictures before cutting.  Seems to be liked by jigsaw puzzle cutters.  I've not used it myself but will probably give it a go.
