Rotating pictures?

This is probably old news to most of you but when I try to post a picture I have uploaded it posts sideways?? In my gallery there is a way to rotate it but I can not find a way to do it trying to post a topic. I have tried rotating before uploading ... no help. thanks Jerry

I click on pictures ,go to the picture i want to change ,right click turn clock or counter clock wise hit enter and it's done ,then reload it
