SDB777
Good afternoon! Purchased the wife a Dewalt 788, and she is burning through some patterns! I think she'll deplete the wood I have sawn over the last few months....the new sawmill isn't scheduled to arrive in Missouri until the 14th of next month(I'm having withdrawals). So far she has been working through the 'customized' signs I needed to have her make for my duck call, woodturning addiction....but there is also some candle holders and such glued, taped, and waiting. After those are finished, I'm hoping to get some boxes and such for her to try.... I do not have GIMP(but it looks as though the tutorials for self made patterns is probably going to utilize that. I have tried using Picsas3, converting to 'sketch' and fiddling with the tones and such. But it just seems to be missing something.....? Anyway, I'll be reading a lot to start, and then maybe I'll get some questions together. Scott (need sawdust) B

heppnerguy
Scott, you have your hands full trying to keep up with a wife that is focused on her scroll saw. The sawdust is flying at your house.. Good thing you have a computer or you would only be findng wood for your wife to cut. I am going to give you a Hint; Tell your wife that the woman on The Village are very friendly and want her to join in and become a member so they can get to know her better. Then once she gets on here, she will indeed love the members here and while she is on the computer, you can jump on the scroll saw.. As long as she is engrossed in her scrolling you might as well sit at the computer and chat with all of us. We would love that Dick heppnerguy
