Melissa Engbers Posted September 27, 2015 Report Posted September 27, 2015 Hello hello! I saw names in christmas ornaments but how do you make A dot on A letter? It has to attach on something right? Lol Quote
Falcon Posted September 27, 2015 Report Posted September 27, 2015 To me it would have to be glued to a backer board. I have done similar with other projects. Quote
Melissa Engbers Posted September 27, 2015 Author Report Posted September 27, 2015 No backing board though. I have read something about a bridge for the dot but cannot find a tutorial Quote

crupiea Posted September 27, 2015 Report Posted September 27, 2015 Like this? Ä If its those dots things you hold down alt key and type in ä (0228); Ä(0196); ë(0235); Ë(0203); ï(0239); Ã(0207); ö(0246); Ö(0214); ü(0252); Ãœ(0220); ÿ(0225) and Ÿ(0159). depending on the letter you want. so for that capital A I held down alt and typed the numbers 0196 and then let go of alt. Lol If you really have to have a dot, here is another way. If you are using Inkscape, you could use the circle button and after resizing it, you could drag it in place over the 'I' but leave it partly attached, like I did in the photo. Not the best but it could work in a pinch Dick heppnerguy Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 (edited) In a lot of programmes if you enter a letter/font ie a ,you can depress the Alt KEY and then the up and down arrows and move the letter where ever you want try it.
