vykus
Earlier this summer my brother-in-law showed me a picture of a simple plaque of the 101st Airborne patch, which was his unit in the 1st gulf war. He asked if I could make one like it. I said yeah, we agreed on a price and off I went. Of course I could not just make a simple plaque I had to make it into an intarsia piece. Here are some pictures, the first is of the one he wanted me to copy. I used ebony, yellowheart, bloodwood, holly, walnut and another wood that I don't remember what it is, maybe oak. Rob
Very impressive. I hope your price reflected the amount of work you put into that. It is a real masterpiece that will become a cherished heirloom I'm sure. Rob
heppnerguy
You did a reAlly fine job. Being Airborne is something those who are or have been a paratrooper share their pride and brotherhood. I know. Because I too was a paratrooper and still getting together with fellow members after more than 55 years. This piece will be cherished and handed down through the family members, I feel sure Dick heppnerguy
