john shankel Posted October 15, 2015 Report Share Posted October 15, 2015 what to do about finnish for trivet ? what kind of finnish do most of you use for a trivet that will be used for hot pots? i was thinking a clear finnish but was not sure if it will melt and make a mess of the pots and tabel , tell me what i should do . thanks john . Kepy Posted October 16, 2015 Report Share Posted October 16, 2015 I dip my trivets in mineral oil, then drip dry. Once dry, I buff them with a brown paper bag.
