JohnR48
Wondering if anyone knows how many strokes per minute for the different speed settings on the Dewalt DW788? Thanks in advance for any help.
JohnR48
Found the speeds @ Rick's Scroll Saw. If anyone else is interested, they are as follows: 1 - 400 2 - 800 3 - 950 4 - 1100 5 - 1300 6 - 1450 7 - 1600 8 - 1750 amazingkevin and WayneMahler

dgman
My first saw had a digital speed indicator, but blade changes were the absolute worst. When I replaced it with a DeWalt, I missed the digital indicator because I was used to adjusting the speed for cutting by the readout. So I had those speeds tapped to my saw. Now, I don't even look at the speed control (can't see it anymore anyways), I adjust it by feel and sound. oneleggimp

NC Scroller
I do 90% of my cutting at 8 which is the top speed on the DW788 scale.
Jim Finn
I have three saws and only one is more than single speed, and I have to change the belt position to change speeds on it. It is very simple to do but I find I leave it on the slowest speed (400 SPM). I use that saw for doing inlay and the faster one for all other cuts.
