Popular Post heppnerguy
Scrolling is for me as it is for so many people here in The Village. Taking a piece of wood and cutting it and making something special for someone special to you, is the thing I enjoy most about scrolling. A couple of years ago, my bride of 50+ years, and myself, went to Germany to attend two different high school graduations of a couple of exchange students we were fortunate to have life with us for one entire school year. The families in Germany introduced us to all their family members as well as many of their friends. Everyone treated us like we were royalty. It the process, I met Andy, the best friend of the father of one of our exchange students. Last year Andy purchases a really nice Ford Mustang and attended several car shows with it. He is so proud of this beautiful American sport car. I saw a photo he posted of it and made an attempt to make a pattern of it and then I cut him a plaque and mailed it to him. He received the pattern today and wrote to thank my and sent me several photos he took of his car and the plaque. I could see it pleased him a lot for me to make and send it to him. A few minutes ago I saw that he posted one of the photos on Facebook, with a nice comment about me. I thought I would share this with all of you, because it is the gratitude we receive when we give a give of our scrolling to someone and see the pleasure they got from our efforts. heppnerguy
Giving him the plaque made me feel good, Receiving it made him feel good. His response made me feel Great.. If i would have sold it to him as a request, it would have been $25 and a few supplies for me and I would not sell what I got from his response to me for $200. Proving friendship means more than all the money in the world. Dick heppnerguy Kris Martinson
