heppnerguy Posted November 4, 2015 Report Posted November 4, 2015 I get my share of sawdust but I am getting a lot better at keeping things cleaner.. You know what I discovered ? when i drop a small piece of intarsia and my shop is clean, I actually am able to find it again.. Who would have guessed ? Dick heppnerguy tomsteve and Jim Finn 2 Quote
Lucky2 Posted November 4, 2015 Report Posted November 4, 2015 Personally, I don't see all that much wrong with this picture, there's no more dust there then there would be from one good cutting session. Dust used to pile up on my bench like that, until I cut a hole where the dust was falling, so that it would fall through the hole into a container. If you check out the bottom of the pic, you will not see any dust on the floor. Len Quote

Dick heppnerguy Oh so true Dick, i'll never learn when cutting things to keep the floor around the saw so i can find it when it breaks off or what ever. Most of the time i have to make a piece to fit which takes a whole lot less time to do than look for the disapear-o piece tomsteve 1 Quote
scrollerpete Posted November 5, 2015 Author Report Posted November 5, 2015 I usually clean up after the day. also wear a mask all the time. I have a ShopVac air cleaner suspended above the saw and I also run a Craftex dust collector when I sand. I just want to show a busy saw with the picture. Thanks for the comments. wombatie 1 Quote

I couldn't believe how you got jumped on. To me, a saw with no saw dust under it is a useless saw. Dick heppnerguy oneleggimp 1 Quote
