I'm Thankful For

Thanksgiving is just a couple days away. This is the time of the year when folks in the US share what we're thankful for. There is so many things in my life that I'm thankful for. But I thought I'd keep this post focused on SSV, which is a big part of my life.

 

First, I'm very thankful for all of the SSV members. Without you, SSV would only be a ghost town. I really enjoy your company and really get a kick out of seeing what projects you're working on. There is amazing talent in this modest community. It keeps me inspired and pushes me to take my craft to the next level. I love being apart of a community that helps eachother out when we get stuck, a place where we can talk shop, and a place to just have fun. Thank you!

 

I'd like to thank all of the pattern designers on SSV that have graciously donated their wonderful patterns. You guys keep raising the bar on pattern quality. You have so many patterns with a wide variety of subject matter. Its just amazing what you come up with. You'll keep myself, and thousands of other scrollers in sawdust for many years to come. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with the rest of us.

 

I'd also like to thank the pattern designers that fulfill custom requests in the Pattern Request forum. It is so cool that there is a group of people willing to help eachother out and come up with a totally unique and personal project. That is awesome.

 

And finally, I'd like to thank the SSV staff. They are a dedicated group and work hard to create an inviting atmosphere. They're active participants on the forums, they help with the moderation, provide feedback on my crazy ideas, write articles for the newsletter, and update the wiki. They really make this place run smoothly.

Thanks Travis, I agree 100%. I'm thankful for having my family around me, as well as being apart of this scrolling family. Its nice to have so many friends willing to help and share things with you, especially since most of us don't really know each other except by screen name. To all here, I hope you have a great Thanksgiving.

I'm thankful for all of my friends here at the Village. You're a great bunch and its be a lot of fun getting to know all of you. I love the fact that everyone is willing to help each other out with a number of things from tips to patterns to computer knowledge. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Yep, I have to agree with everyone. I'm very thankful for all of my wonderful friends here and on all the groups. I'm very thankful to be a part of such a wonderful group of people from all over the globe.
