NC Scroller
To not hijack the thread started by DW I will ask here.... What software or other tools do you folks use to make intersecting word art patterns? I really do not know.
Fish
The main one I've see is Inkscape. It's freeware and Travis has explained how to use it here in the Village. It's linked on our main page. NC Scroller

Donald Hayes
Got to agree. Inkscape is fairly easy to learn. I am 60+ and learned it. GrampaJim

WayneMahler
I run corel draw. But for intersecting word art, I use inkscape. Much easier then jumping through the hoops. NC Scroller
bandaideman
Is there a better place to down load inkScape over another. I did down load once but my computer was concerned with virus when I did and other things went strange so I just deleted it from the computer. Shortly after the computer kind of got sick and the only thing I could do was reset to factory set up and lost everything. Was able to down load the Microsoft up dates and am able to function again sort of have been afraid to retry. I really would like to do the word art but will have to think about it. Gordster
I use corel draw and find it easy. I believe there is a home site for inkscape which is safe to download.

heppnerguy
I also use Inkscape and learned from the tutorial post that Travis made in the university part of the forum, I believe. If you practice making about thereof them, after you understand the procedure , you should be about to make a new patterns about 4 or 5 minutes, max Dick heppnerguy NC Scroller

Fab4
What is "intersecting" Wood Art? Sam Hi Sam: Are you ever going to be sorry you asked this question. After you go to the tutorial that Travis left. Post #13. You are going to be hooked. You will try to follow the tutorial, get slightly frustrated because you missed one or two things on the video, you will go back and watch it again and get it right this time. This is where you get hooked. Once you make your own pattern, you will be amazed as to how easy it really is, thanks to the tutorial from Travis. Inkscape is what I use also. Good luck, have fun and stay safe Fab4 Gordster and NC Scroller

Sam Hi Sam: The only thing amazing at the Village is Kevin Everything else is simply "AWESOME" Your job and home projects will get in the way, that's for sure Whoever came up with a 24 hour day obviously didn't have a scroll saw and a fantastic group to deal with.
