Dan Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 Nice work. Put a bottom and add some lids and you have a nice jewelry box. Quote
Fish Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 Great job, I like the wood and Dan's idea too. It would make an interesting box. Quote
kywoodmaster Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 Very nice job. The wood is beautiful. I also like Dan's idea that would be very cool. Quote
dgman Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 Beautiful piece Rob, very nice cutting and I love the wood choice! Quote
wombatie Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 Lovely piece of wood. Excellent cutting. Now what are you going to do with it? Marg Quote
Rob Posted December 3, 2015 Author Report Posted December 3, 2015 Well it's too small for a jewelry box although that's a great idea. I will probably add a backer and a hanger and hopefully sell it. I still can't decide if I should cut the three remaining hearts or leave them as is. I could give it to the wife for Christmas but she'd probably think it was another trivet and divorce me. Rob. merlin Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 Nice one Rob....................Some of the older Rimu is damn hard I know the feeling............I think cutting the other three hearts is a great idea.....................but your choice........... Quote
bobscroll Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 Rob just so nice! You did well on your project! Bob Quote
Rob Posted December 3, 2015 Author Report Posted December 3, 2015 Thanks all for your comments. I couldn't decide if I wanted to cut the remaining three hearts or not so I decided to cut another one. I do love it when the pattern comes off in one piece. Here it is side by side with the one I cut yesterday. Maybe Merlin was right and it looks better fully cut. What do you think? Rob Quote
Paul hd Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 Hi Rob. Great cutting on both. I personally prefer the full cut, but they are both very nice Quote
Sorcier Posted December 4, 2015 Report Posted December 4, 2015 Nice job on both. I also prefer the fully cut one. Ward Quote
merlin Posted December 4, 2015 Report Posted December 4, 2015 Yeah I think it looks better all cut.... In my humble opinion..... Quote
JimW Posted December 4, 2015 Report Posted December 4, 2015 Very nice job and the grain add to the piece. I like the change with the one not fully cut. Quote
