Scrappile Posted December 19, 2015 Report Posted December 19, 2015 BEAUTIFUL! I never had the opportunity to get any of his patterns. I wish he wouldn't have gotten into difficulties and was still doing patterns. Quote
GrampaJim Posted December 19, 2015 Author Report Posted December 19, 2015 When you do an internet search for him, there isn't much. Its like he disappeared. I would attempt more is his patterns if they were available. Quote

bgloyn Posted December 20, 2015 Report Posted December 20, 2015 Nice cutting. I can not get the hang of the 3/0, just keep breaking, I use the # 1. Read of you guys using the 3/0 on 3/4 inch wood what is the secret to not breaking. Using an EX-21. Quote
GrampaJim Posted December 20, 2015 Author Report Posted December 20, 2015 Nice cutting. I can not get the hang of the 3/0, just keep breaking, I use the # 1. Read of you guys using the 3/0 on 3/4 inch wood what is the secret to not breaking. Using an EX-21. I stack cut 1/8" 2 or 3 layers at a time. 3/4" would be real slow and and tough to cut. I use an old Type 1 Dewalt3 Quote
bgloyn Posted December 20, 2015 Report Posted December 20, 2015 My back up is my type 1, had it from new. Had trouble with the 3/0 on that also. Have no problem with the FD NS 1 up to 3/4 inch just no luck with the 3/0 Quote
spirithorse Posted December 20, 2015 Report Posted December 20, 2015 Great cutting, GrandpaJim, For those looking, you can still get back-issues of Creative Woodworks & Crafts magazine on e-bay, garage sales, etc with some of Jeff Zaffino's patterns. God Bless! Spirithorse Quote

Lucky2 Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 Nicely done Jim, I really like the look of the one in the black frame. Not all that long ago, I saw some of Jeff's patterns for sale on one of the sites I visit. If I can find or remember which site it was I'll be sure to post it here. Len Quote
Scrappile Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 From what I have read about Jeff, back when I was searching for his patterns, he got into some trouble over copyright and it pretty much put him of the business. I do not know a lot of the details, but it is unfortunate. He was very talented pattern maker. Quote
