Dan
I've been wanting to make this for a while but had no reason. I decided to make it for my brother and will see him tomorrow. I am applying the poly finish now and hope it's dry enough by noon tomorrow. I wanted to see if there's much difference between using the 1/8" vs 1/4" for the cutting. I think both came out well and can't decide. I think I'll be using the 1/8" because I can stack more. Thanks for looking. tomsteve

dgman
Great cutting Dan. I think the 1/4" looks better, but there is nothing wrong with 1/8" either. Next time you are in a hurry, try rattle can lacquer. You can get two or three coats in an evening.

Thanks for the nice words and feedback. My wife also likes the 1/4". Phantom Scroller

GrampaJim
Looks great - both of them! I love 1/8" ply just because you can stack cut.
Rob
It's hard to tell from a photo and I might have a different opinion if I saw it in real life but I like the 1/8" ply as you see less of the inside of the ply which is not the most beautiful part. But, YMMV. Rob
