Hawk
Here's my dilemma, I originally started this project with the intent of making it a clock, but now at this point I'm not so sure. It kinda looks all right just like it is. Needs finish, but other wise I'm not sure about adding the clock stuff. So...what do ya'll think? Clock/no clock? spirithorse
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!I think it looks great now but, if you started it as a clock, perhaps a clock insert at the bottom or to the right side of the wolf's neck. How exactly did you do this project? It doesn't look like cut the white and doesn't look like cut the black as normal fret-work. God Bless! wombatie
Is that inlayed???????????????????????????????? I would just put a small clock on the bottom right or just right of the neck. Looks great by the way. Marg
kywoodmaster
Very nice. I vote no clock, looks great on it own. To quote everyone else "is that inlay" ?

lawson56
I vote No.It looks just Fantastic on it's own.It would have to be a small clock. Therefore hard to see.So I would skip the clock. But thats just me. Scrappile

Hawk
I probably should have explained the project a bit better in the first post. The wolf is 1/4" walnut inlayed into a pine blank I got from Michels. The pattern I've had for some time, it came from a magazine a few years back, I think it was "Creative Woodwork and Crafts" but don't quote me. Hawk
I think no clock, I really like it the wayit is. Now to figure out a good way to finish it.....
ubgoofy2003
I really like it, Hawk. I tried inlay some time ago & am afraid to go there again. I think I did it the hard way for the first time. I did it with acrylic. Yikes ! Have you ever used the resin & hardener mix for a finish ? I use one called Envirotex. It comes out beautiful. Just like glass. By the way, your Wolf is beautiful. Looks great.
penquin
It does look great on its own but if you do a clock one in a bottom corner would work nicely. With the clock in it it will get looked at a lot more times. I sort of like the idea of a clock. jim penquin
Paul hd
That's amazing. I think it looks great as is. If it had to have a clock then it would have to be inlaid numbers and only the hour and minute hand proud of the surface.

Hawk
No clock for this project. Just cant bring myself to put one on, it would take away from the Wolf. Scrappile
