I was just looking for patterns and came upon this forum.  I've been scroll sawing for about 3 years and love it.  It helps me relax and contemplate the meaning of life, lol.  I hope to learn and make new friends while I'm here.

thanks

Charlie, What's up? How was Christmas? You eating Texas style on News Years day?

Having any Hopinjohn? Black Eyed Peas, Rice and Ham? Maybe Cornbread?

Any wine? Speaking of wine, do you remember "Ripple?"

What saw do U have? Any Pictures of scrolling?

As for Friends, we have friends to spare!

This is a great place because you can ask the same question 10 times and get a different answer each time. :D

Thank you for the warm welcome guys.  I'm humbled after looking at several of the projects posted on here.  Here's a few I have pictures of.  The last supper was finished last week and given to my parents as a Christmas present.  It was made with Cypress wood from their property.  I wish I used a wood with a tighter grain but it was important to me to use the wood they gave me.  Louisiana and the ring were made from Olive.  That by far has been the best wood to work with to me.  The fish was poplar and Iwo Jima was plywood.

Anyway, don't be too harsh with your criticism.   :)

Those are nice scrollings. A great variety of wood you use.

Speaking of wood, would you explain why a Texan is cutting Louisiana. :D  Just kidding.

Bobscroll (above) has made some nice patterns of the 'states' including Texas.

Hi Charlie, welcome to the Village.  I'm Marg from Australia.  I love the grain in the Olive.    Great looking pieces you have there, well cut.  You will make lots of friends here, we are a very friendly lot, some are a bit loopy, but you will work that out for yourself. ;)
