I just checked and it looks like the saw is here in town today. Woohoo!!! Here's hoping UPS can deliver it to me today so I can have 3 days to put it together and play with it. amazingkevin Posted December 31, 2015 Report Posted December 31, 2015 Wish i could say the same,I had to change out my dewalt to finish up the orders that came in,Only to find out the new dewalt saw has problems.The cosmoleen isn't even wore at all, no scratches on the table but the cachunk noise is something i've never heard in the two dewalts i've wore out .So now I'm forced when back up and running again to switch to my last new Dewalt.I guess i'll change out the top and bottom mechanisms of the last Dewalt with the new ones that has other problems.I'm not a technician and had the disassembly of the Dewalts,That's half a days job completed .Enjoy your new saw,New is always nice :cool: :cool: :cool: Quote

heppnerguy Posted December 31, 2015 Report Posted December 31, 2015 nice thing about putting it together is that is only takes putting in 2 screws to bolt on the table and you are off and running...hint...if you have not yet done so, it is easiest if you tilt the table to the extremes and then put then install the screws..have fun with your saw.. you will learn to love it soon Dick heppnerguy jbrowning 1 Quote
rjR Posted December 31, 2015 Report Posted December 31, 2015 Mine took 4-1/2 years of real abuse and now I have minor issues! I cut many hickory and oak pieces 3/4 and thicker! So I know I over-worked it. I also cut many 2 by 4 toys with it . They are a nice saw and work well! I think you wail enjoy it a lot! jbrowning 1 Quote
NC Scroller Posted December 31, 2015 Report Posted December 31, 2015 I have a Type 2 that I got in 2002. It has thousands of hours on it. I have replaced a couple bearings and a couple of blade screws in those 14 years. My advice is to disassemble it once a year and apply a quality synthetic grease. jbrowning 1 Quote
