orangeman Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 Has anyone had any experience/success selling their scroll work on EBAY? Quote
Dan Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 I look at eBay as a place shoppers go to find a deal. It's kind if like the Walmart of the internet, they have everything at good prices. Nothing wrong with it, it's just not a place I would go to find a gift for someone. If I'm looking for a special gift I would go to a specialty store, kind of like Etsy is on the internet. Quote
Scrappile Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 I agree with Dan, us bargain hunters look at Ebay. I will say it appears to be harder and harder to find a bargain. I have seen scroll saw work listed, don't know how well it sells on Ebay. I have read where people do quite well on Etsy. Scrolling Steve 1 Quote
orangeman Posted January 1, 2016 Author Report Posted January 1, 2016 Thanks for your replies. I looked at Etsy for my puzzles but dismissed Etsy because there are many puzzle vendors there and they are selling puzzles at prices which are much less than what I would charge. Some of those cheaper versions use poplar whereas I use quality hardwoods. Maybe Etsy would work for some of my original designs however. Quote
Scrappile Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 Just a thought, but I have read here and elsewhere that somehow you can sell on Facebook. I don't know anything personally about it, and I don't understand FB much, but might be worth looking into. Quote
LarryEA Posted January 1, 2016 Report Posted January 1, 2016 Don't know anything about it but you can try 'Wallapop' Quote

amazingkevin Posted January 2, 2016 Report Posted January 2, 2016 Has anyone had any experience/success selling their scroll work on EBAY? I've tried there and craigs list and e-bay ,no bites at all. Quote
herrwood Posted January 3, 2016 Report Posted January 3, 2016 ebay is a tough market because of so many sellers. I sell on ebay Not scroll stuff some older auto related items and some collectibles been there for 15 + years. You can search on closed auctions(complete) items that would give you a idea of what is selling. searching on complete which is auctions that have ended in handcrafts section http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=crafts+scroll&_sac=1&LH_Complete=1&_osacat=71183&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC2.A0.H0.Xscroll.TRS1&_nkw=scroll&_sacat=71183 This also includes sold items ( ones in green) and there are not of sales. You could also search on sold which would just show what was sold. Quote
