Dave Monk Posted January 2, 2016 Report Posted January 2, 2016 I am wanting to make a board puzzle with a child's name. I would think the letters should not fit real tight so the letters are easy to put in. Do you have any recommendation how I should do this or what type of blade to use? Thanks, dave Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted January 2, 2016 Report Posted January 2, 2016 Cut the letters out with a 7 or 9 blade and sand edges so they drop in and attach a backing board so they can be tipped out, otherwise you will need to drill and peg every letter. Roly tomsteve 1 Quote

Dave Monk Posted January 3, 2016 Author Report Posted January 3, 2016 Beveling sounds like a good idea. Thanks, Dave Quote
spirithorse Posted January 3, 2016 Report Posted January 3, 2016 If you are used to cutting with a spiral blade, the kerf will already be larger than cutting with a straight blade. The spirals take a little practice though from my personal trials. Hopefully you are better with them than I am. God Bless! Spirithorse Quote
