rdatelle Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) Here's a couple of things I did with my new Excalibur saw. The Jesus one with the square back is 3/4 Oak and it cut that pretty easy with a #3 blade. The pattern was done for me by Jay. He shrunk it down for me. I put a stained glass backing on them to add a little different look. I think Jays are still a little better than mine. The actual designs were done on my DeWalt 788. They were really tough to do. I almost gave up a few times on them. The fire truck pattern was done for me by Brian from Pickens Puzzles. He gave me some good tips. The puzzle is 3/4 Oak and was cut with a #3 blade to except for the inner designs of the puzzle which I used a #1 blade. Very small hole. They still need another coat of poly. So far I like my new saw. Very quite and very easy to change blades. Put the blade in and pull the lever back and your done. heppnerguy Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 Very nice job on all of them. I can see some pretty small and detailed cuts and it looks like you breezed through all of them. Glad you posted them for the rest of us to enjoy. The variations on the last piece are great ideas too Dick heppnerguy Quote

Lucky2 Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 Nicely done Ralph, especially the crosses with the colored glass background. I like the puzzle also, but, it does look like it would have a pretty weak spot where it attaches to the truck. Len Quote
