kywoodmaster
You guys may already know this so sorry if this is not new. Keep in mind I have been out of action for over 10 years. I have found a new to me sandpaper that is great. It is made from what appears to be Film. You know the stuff that we put into cameras many years ago to make pictures. :D This stuff lasts for ever and produces an almost glass smooth finish in no time. I used 1 -1/4 sheet piece on my Dewalt to sand the whole cradle that I posted earlier and it is still going strong. Picked it up at Lowes. Pictures attached. ike
I haven't seen it but it looks like some we had in the machinate shop for polishing parts to a icro finish only that was finer than about 1800 grit.
oldhudson
I've used the Shopsmith branded sanding belts for a couple of years. Once you get past the sticker shock and use them for awhile they make more sense. They really last. I didn't know they had sheets now. (I don't get to Lowe's often) Thanks for the info. bandaideman
Had not seen in before will have to pay more attention to Sanding at Lowes. I have usually gotten sand paper from Peach Tree when the Wood show comes to town by 50 number per box and save shipping. It this lasts longer then may look more into it. I do buy sheets to cut into strips for finishing pens may think on this if it gives smooth luster.
