wombatie
Hi James, welcome to the Village. I'm Marg from Australia. My husband does hospital maintenance, he can retire any time he likes now but he still enjoys his job so he's staying on a bit longer. Anyhow pull up a chair and make yourself at home and hopefully I will see you around. Marg

heppnerguy
I too wish to extend a big welcome to you. Please do ask anything you want as The Village is full of people who were all at the same place you are now with scrolling and found it to be very worthwhile and a rewarding hobby. Explore all the nooks and crannies and see what surprises you can come up with. Take is slow and easy, and start with patterns that look easy too, then as you get comfortable challenge yourself to new and harder patterns. Taking on really difficult patterns at the beginning can be overwhelming and discouraging at times. If you graduate forward slowly you will experience a lot of satisfaction with your results and be sure to post your work. Everyone is very encouraging here and understand that it takes time to become comfortable with your saw, but before you know it you will find it becomes second nature and not a task to 'stay on the line'. The more you log on here, the quicker you can get to know us and us to know you. I can tell you that you will find that you have acquired a lot of new friends here.
