Probably next to impossible to get permission (if I need it) to put this on a pattern. Asking wiser people for your thoughts. Though, if you look at copyright listings is says Ralf Siegel copyrighted it in 1959. If you create the pattern and share it, by the time the legal dopeheads get to you they will have to dig you up to sue you. Go ahead and create the pattern. I'll never tell anyone where it came from. I don't see how this would be any different than any of the other "sayings" that are sold.
