Tdub4ever
Hello, could someone with a Delta 40-694 scroll saw please tell me where the fuse is at? The online manual says it's where my reset button is, but there's no way to open it. My saw won't power on! Thanks for any info!!!
DonR
Don, It is right where it is shown but you have to insert a small bladed screw driver or other tool into the slot to release the cover. Don R

Check with someone to see if it just needs to be reset. jerry
DonR
It is called a circuit breaker but there is a 3 amp fast blow fuse on mine. Don R

Tdub4ever
Thanks guys! Couldn't get it out. There's a red reset button in the middle, no place to put a screwdriver. I did tap around on the motor and the area around the breaker and it started working again. Maybe the connection was just stuck open. LarryEA
Thanks guys! Couldn't get it out. There's a red reset button in the middle, no place to put a screwdriver. I did tap around on the motor and the area around the breaker and it started working again. Maybe the connection was just stuck open. I would check the saw out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But don't break the warrenty. That's a new saw. Is it still under warrenty? It may be a good idea to disassemble and check motor mounts are tight. While it's apart, grease bearings because Delta and Dewalt don't grease well. I have two Deltas, A 40-694 and a 40-690... Good saws.... PM me if you have any questions.. Tdub4ever
Thanks Larry! I think it was just that I forgot and left the saw in the garage for 2 nights when it got below 20 degrees here. I think it was just too cold. CharleyL
Those fuse holders are easy to open....once you know how. Just push in and down on the red piece with your finger and it should pop out into your hand, or at least come out about 1/2 way. To put it back in with a new fuse, just push in and up, and it will return to the pictured position. That little metal tab in the space below the red plastic is the latch, but using screwdrivers and prying on it will destroy it.
