edward
My current printer has had it, and now looking for a new printer that copys, scans, faxes. I was wondering if a wireless one is a good buy, also looking for one with the cheapest ink, any suggestions are helpful. edward
Ron Johnson
Wireless is the way to go. Can't get away from the high price of ink weather it be inkjet or laser.
WayneMahler
I have a HP6520. Love it. Does great all around. Ink price is a little steep though. It s wireless and prints from my phone great quality but like I said. Ink price would be the draw back.
Sparkey
Wireless is the way to go. I also thought for my next printer I want one that prints 11 by 14 for printing patterns.
merlin
I just got a Brother DCPJ4100W and it can print A3 manually, ..As for the ink I buy the cheapest ink there is (Ink is ink after all) as for the crap about only using the branded ink is just that Crap. Have been doing it this way for 20 or so years and no printer has broken because of other ink. Last one had for about 8 years and just died. KurtP
I would recommend a laser printer. I have a Wireless Brother laser printer(DCP-L2520DW) that scans, copy and prints, I found it on sale for $100 about 2 years ago and still using the toner that came with it. The replacement toner for the printer is not very much either i have seen them for $50 and you get approx 1200 pages from 1 toner. Kepy
I just got an HP ENVOY 7640 for about $78 with free shipping that is wireless and scans, copies and prints up to 11x17. So far it is working great. HP also has a plan to keep ink stocked for $2.99 per month. I think they send it whenever you have printed a certain amount of copies. Kurt I agree with Kurt. if you can get a laser printer, you cost per sheet printed goes WAY down. You can print patterns all day long. That is why most businesses use laser printers. It's like a good scroll saw, verses a $100 saw - costs more but better in the long run. Jim Edited January 21, 2016 by GrampaJim
JohnR48
I bought a Samsung Xpress M2885FW monotone laser. Does everything you want. Paid $130.00 Canadian. Should be a lot cheaper in the US.
orangeman
Recently bought a Brother L2700DW and love it. Wireless. B&W; no color. laser Printer, scan, fax. Also can enlarge. Paid ~$150 at office Max. I also have a HP6600 when I need to do color. I hate it. Replaced the color cartridges a month ago, made 4 color prints, and already magenta is low. There has to be better color printers out there.
TripleJScroller
I also highly recommend a laser printer if you don't need color. I have a Dell laser printer that I picked up for a steal about 2 years ago, when I bought it I picked up an extra toner cartridge. 2 years later I still haven't used the extra toner cartridge. Granted I don't print a ton, but all my scroll saw patterns are printed on it and on top of that my wife's coupons.

NC Scroller
Love my wireless printer as I can print from my laptop, my wife can use it with her computer and we both use it from our Kindled. Laser is the way to go. Yes the refills are more then inkjet but when you figure how many pages you get per refill laser is much cheaper. I have a Brothers MFC-L2720DW multi function. crupiea
I have always had a hate hate relationship with printers. of course i need one for this stuff though and use mine all the time. I had a cheapo wireless one that worked great, except for the wireless part. it was just a regular printer that i still had to plug in. i finally made the jump to a brother color laser printer and its the only printer I have ever actually liked. i had heard good things about the lasers too. The starter cartridges print alot of pages. i have been printing for months and still no indication they are running low. and these are the starters so the normal ones will a really long time. it is wireless and that part works equally good. cant also print from my phone and tablet with an app that makes it super easy. It does not scan or fax but i never fax anything and basically you can scan from your computer nowadays so they are almost extinct anyway. Also for the scanning part, i just take a picture of the document on my phone and either print it or email it to myself and then print it from the computer so dont need those feature either. That covers the copying as well, same thing. i paid about $150 or so for this baby and will never buy a cheapo one again. brother hl 3170 Edited January 23, 2016 by crupiea
Tom J
I have the Epson WF 7620 which is multi function and prints on up to 11' x 17" paper. I also got the continuous ink supply system from this site WWW.INKXPRO.COM. This give about 10 times the ink for about the same price as a set of cartridges.
