My Wife loves Hummingbirds and I found this pattern in the "Big Book of Scroll Saw Woodworking" so I figured I'd give it a try.. First try at a "puzzle" piece.. 2 pics below, pieces apart and then together.. I have a Aunt that is loves her hummers and for her birthday one year I cut her that. Not surprised that your wife will like that as you did a fantastic job on it. Thanks for sharing this with us. Lucky2 Posted January 21, 2016 Report Share Posted January 21, 2016 Looks nice Mike, I like how you solved the problem of it always wanting to fall over. I never thought to add another base for the ones I made, I used a separate piece of wood for the bottom piece of the puzzle. It was wider and cut in the shape of the bottom piece of the puzzle, then I had to taper the sides to fit the 3/4" thickness of the rest of the puzzle.
