JohnR48
The hardest part is getting the hook set properly, but once you master that you will get a much better finish than you can with sandpaper. A heavy scraper is also very good for removing glue squeeze out. LarryEA
Wilson142
I've used scrappers for a long time. Not sure they would work well for scroll saw projects, but maybe used gently. Once you learn to create the correct burr, scrapers work great, Both with and across the grain. I've also used pumice, rotten stone and even cigar ashes to perfect a finish. It's quiet and very therapeutic. It was in my "French Polish" period. lol LarryEA
oldhudson
I use a cabinet scrapper quite often, but never on a scroll saw project. LarryEA
bandaideman
I did use scaper for a time. But it is important to get the burr right and learning way to scrape. It does give a good finish. I used to scape the wood before i did the scroll sawing and the finish stayed pretty well. LarryEA
heppnerguy
I am not even sure what a cabinet scraper is. I guess I will need to Google it Dick heppnerguy
