That is spot on, perfect pattern,  :thumbs:  :thumbs:  my only criticism is you need to also keep in mind the marking or grain on the wood that you use, your grandson looks to have a large growth next to his mouth, I think it would have looked better with the wood the other way around.   ;)  ;)   Keep up the great work Dave.

This is my first attempt.  Had an old piece of Birch ply laying around and decided  to take a stab at a portrait of my grandson. Next time I will try it on Baltic Birch. The veneer did not stay on very well. Hopefully next time it will work better. dave
