3billy3
Hi all Been scrolling for a few years now, after struggling with a few cheaper machines I upgraded and now use a Hegner - probably the best thing I ever done and my work has much improved. I enjoy most aspects of scrolling but have yet to try intarsia, and I would like to learn to design my own patterns. Looks a great forum and I look forward to hanging around! bobscroll

Janie
Hi, Hegner is a good brand so I'm told. I went through a few other scroll saws myself. I have tried a little bit of intarsia but need lots more experience. Wow, you are from England! It is so cool to be in touch with people around the world with the same hobby. I went to London a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I love to scroll and can hardly wait to start new projects. I sell my things at a store in Colorado and also at craft shows in the summer. I am doing a WW11 project now and then will return to the western things that Colorado is known for. What about you? What kind of projects do you do? Great to have you on board............ I enjoy most aspects of scrolling but have yet to try intarsia, and I would like to learn to design my own patterns. Looks a great forum and I look forward to hanging around! You and me both started on inferior machines! When i finally upgraded to a dewalt,i was amazed that i couldn't even hear the motor running with it on .Not only that but what happened to all the vibration?!Start with a few piece intarsia ,Just to get acclimated to all the goings on of intarsia. Many steps involve so a small quick few piece one will keep your interest much more.I hated trading my intarsias but they were just practice pieces that really made a wall come alive. Welcome friend!Keep coming back!
