kardar2 Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 hello all, I have a pattern that says bore a hole 2-3/8 for clock insert so what is the rule of thumb when it comes to buying a clock for it ? do you go a 1/4 smaller for the clock size or what? Some patterns tell what size of clock to buy. thanks And have a Merry Christmas Quote
Clayton717 Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 A 2-3/4" clock insert will fit in the 2-3/8 hole. different sizes take different holes not all 1/4" smaller. for example a 1-7/16" clock insert takes a 1-3/8" hole. these are the sizes I have used before. Quote

The company you buy from will always tell you the hole needed. Quote
